Counting Calories and Why I Hate It

First off, this is helpful in trying to figure out how many calories you should actually be eating to maintain and then how many you should less than that to lose. HERE! (You can also sort of do your weight X 10, but they have a little formula on that website that seemed more legit and also more fun. That formula also included something where you can factor in exercising.)

As an FYI, I'm aiming for anywhere from 1,000 to 1,400 a day in order to lose a pound a week. Ideally, I'll be doing 1,200 a day so that I don't have any days where I over eat and even worse, any days where I under eat.

I'm also keeping a food diary on the Microsoft word where I'm writing down everything I eat and an attempt at how many calories it has. Myfitnesspal has a TON of restaurants information listed, and also comes with a handy dandy app (thanks nette-dawg) that's fun for countings.

I'm hungry.
